[RC] water buckets in trailers - Jonni Jewell

I have hauled with a bucket of water in front of the horse as we traveled.
If you put a little block of wood in the bucket, the water will not slosh
out as much. Of course, it WILL give the horse something to play with. The
problem with a bucket in there is, you don't KNOW how much they are
drinking, as most do play with the bucket, and spill some. But it gives them
a choice. I like to do the beet pulp mashes, and carrots to help keep they
hydrated on the long hauls.....which I have one myself.....1200 miles to
Bryce XP. I really enjoy traveling with my horses. Some dread that part of
rides....I think it is part of the fun...go figure
