[RC] [Guest] Martingale and Kimberwicke - Ridecamp Moderator

Anne Trixie64@xxxxxxx
Hi, I ride in a running martingale, adjusted to the loosest setting. I mainly use it for the rare times my horse will through his head up and if I happen to be leaning forward could be very painful. He doesnt do this often but he does do it and the martingale prevents a collision. My question is if I can use a jointed kimberwicke with the martingale or is it to severe? I have only used the kimberwicke without the martingale and my horse and I both liked it. I start out with the curb action and later in the ride when everyone has settled down use it as a snaffle with no curb action. Any input would be great. Thanks
