[RC] XP2004 - DreamWeaver

I am going on the Big 2004 XP ride next summer I am interested in =
hearing from folks that are going or that went last time. Annie G.
Anne George Saddlery www.vtc.net/~ageorge

In case anybody doesn't know what she's talking about, more info can be found here:
http://www.xprides.com/ (links near the top of the page), or - here is a summary (see below). The ride is posted on the AERC Ride Calendar. There will be some changes in some of the ridecamp locations since the trail will be re-routed around Fort Schellbourne, on the historic Overland Trail. I did the ride in 2001 and hope to be able to go next time and can only tell people that if they have any kind of a chance to do something like this that they should go for it, this is the kind of thing that really is the chance of a lifetime. Oh yeah, and if it isn't cool enough that you get to ride 50 miles everyday for 1250 miles worth, if you ride 1000 miles on a single equestrian journey, you can qualify for membership in the Long Rider's Guild: http://www.thelongridersguild.com/

Place: Virginia City, Nevada to Rushcreek Ranch, Nebraska on the original Pony Express Trail.

Annie, on the links on the website there is a bulletin board that you can go to and post questions and perhaps meet up with other riders -- good luck! :-)

Happy Trails,
