[RC] [Guest] Racetrack trainer CA - Ridecamp Guest

d ekhaml enduroarabians@xxxxxxxxx

Sorry, but even the most careful, humane trainer in the world cannot take
the place of time in letting a horse grow up! There is no way anyone will
get me to believe that an Arab (which takes longer to mature than a TB or
QH)
is ready for a rider let alone race training at 3.

Their legs are simply not ready. Being patient for an extra year or 2 may
be the difference in having a long term riding horse or a broken down pet.
I just had to spout off as I am sick of seeing horses raced as babies.

A certain 6 year old was pulled at Foresthill at Tevis after being about
raced to death. 100 miles at a racing pace at 6? It makes me want to puke.
Everyone has their opinion, and I have had more than one 2 year old; I know
the
waiting is hard.

Good luck, you may have a great horse; I hope so.
