[RC] Trails for riding alert - Adelia85

NEWS ALERT



The initial word is that an amendment to fully restore Transportation 
Enhancements funding was defeated this afternoon, Thursday, July 24, in the 
House Appropriations Committee by a vote of 29 to 33. All is not lost. 
Restoring funding in the Appropriations Committee was always an uphill battle. 
We now face a major fight on the floor of the House of Representatives when 
Congress returns from its August recess after Labor Day.

Thanks for all your help in this fight! Rails-to-Trails Conservancy will update 
you soon with the next step in our battle. We will not let up in our campaign 
to restore full federal funding for trails, bicycling and walking. With your 
help, we will win this fight in September!
