[RC] :middle of the pack award - rides2far



    Now that's an idea I haven't heard before.  The "middle of the 
pack" award.  


War Eagle used to give "The Middle of the Road" award to the horse that
was exactly 1/2 way up the list of *finishers* so there was no way you
could predict which spot it would be. My old horse was the king of
"average" and we won it two years straight! The award was one of my
favorite...one of those reflectors off the middle of the highway (they're
weighted, and very substantial) with an engraved plate on top that said,
"Neither fast nor slow, just middle of the road". :-) Bet I'm the only
one that has a matched pair!
