[RC] What's in a name? - Amy Cieri

For all of you who are familiar with different breeders and their stable names, does anyone know who places "SS" in their horses names? I'm looking to purchase a gelding named SS Iron Man who came out of a Pennsylvania auction as a failed track horse. From what I've been told, his brother is competing somewhere out west. His name is Acting up.
I looked in the AERC registry of horses and there are many horses with the "SS" in front of their name. I can't determine if this is a particular breeder using this or if it's a common addition to names.
I'd love to find out more about this horse and I'm hoping his name will give me a reference. Thanks to anyone with some info!
