RE: [RC] completion awards (long) - Steph Teeter

Good for you Katrina!! Many folks have NO IDEA what it takes to put on a
ride. (which is probably a good thing, otherwise it would be hard to recruit
new ride managers...). And to get worked up over awards seems a little silly
in light of everything else involved in doing a ride. Thanks for saying it
so well.

Steph

The point I'm trying to make is that first and foremost you should ride
because you enjoy/love/are addicted to the sport. Secondly, don't criticize
others for doing something if you haven't tried it yourself. Lastly, you
don't how much personal effort has gone into these awards sometimes, so
don't get mad because its not a t-shirt or something that you wanted. Think
of it as a bonus, the real reward was crossing that finish line.
Sorry, hope I didn't make too many people mad I just needed to vent.
