[RC] Random Trail Surface Observation - Rides 2 Far

The> horses' hooves create thousands of little
coffer dams in which water pools and does
not drain.

Several years ago Endurance News published a study someone did that saw
the *value* of this. Whereas a linear bike track left the perfect
beginnings for erosion, a horse's hoof stopped it and built a little dam,
difusing the runoff and stopping erosion. I have quoted this to many
horse people and several have asked that I find the article so they could
use it as amo. :-P If ANYONE remembers that study, I suggest EN republish
it and I promise to keep up with it this time.

P.S. I am anxiously awaiting my paddock returning to a flat dirt area.
Right now it is a farrier testing ground...and it's raining *again*.
