I learned that Show Sheen sprayed on the tail really keeps ticks off! Apparently it makes the tail hair so slickery they can't climb up it. :) I had one horse that reacted very badly to tick bites, so in the summer I sprayed Show Sheen on his legs and tail every 3-4 days, and rub it on his face and neck a bit, and it really helped him out a lot.
