Again, putting the vaccine in the pecs does not prevent it from being reactive--it only puts the reaction in a spot that a) does not compromise the horse's ability to eat and drink, b) can be ventrally drained if it should abcess, and c) does not threaten the horse's life with the risk of migration along a fascial plane into the thoracic cavity, should it abcess. The reactivity of the vaccine does not change by putting it in different muscles.
