[RC] [Guest] popup campers - Ridecamp Guest

On Behalf Of Celeste Comfort

There are three of us in this area who ride/camp
together and we all have popup campers. If we had
more people we would start a club and call
ourselves the PopTarts.

Hi:

I saw your post on ridecamp about pop up campers, and
I wanted to know more about them. My husband and I
are thinking of getting one, but would like to know
more how endurance people like them. We have a 3/4
ton Ford with tow package and a beefed up suspension,
5 speed manual, with a 460 engine, and we tow a three
horse slant bumper pull trailer with only two horses
in it. The rest is filled with all our junk.

Anyway, how do the pop-ups pull down the road? We
looked at the regular campers, but I didn't like how
they sway going down the road. They just looked way
to top heavy, and in the wind I would be a nervous
wreak.

We have a 8foot bed in the back. Would that be big
enough? I just started looking, and the new ones are
way out of our price range. Do you have any idea what
a used one would go for? And other than a bed, what
else can you expect to see inside one?

Thanks for reading. Our old bones just have to find
something else more comfortable.

Happy Trails
Celeste & Dan
