Instead of mixing the electrolytes with water, I just put the amount I want to mix in a bowl and add the Pro-CMC (2 parts Elytes to 1 part Pro CMC) and stir (or if you are making a batch, put in blended. Makes a smooth mix.

It's a calcium/magnesium supplement for horses.  It's manufactured by Absorbine and is available at most tack shops.  It's expensive, $25-30 per quart.
