[RC] [Guest] cleaning wet saddle - Ridecamp Guest

On Behalf Of Joan Ruprecht

Congratulations Dannon, you were tough. I think any one who even started is
tough, It is not just to "Finish is to Win", but just to start CAN BE
AMAZING..... I really feel for Ride management, no good thing for your first
time. I hope we have not scared her away. she sure stayed chipper.

Do not reply privately, we are the three Ruprechts, that stayed out the
longest, but we did complete the 50. As was said, everything is soaking,
I do not know the real rules, but I have in the past let wet leather mostely
dry then attacked it with oil. What should one really do?

Ted, Joan and Kate (age 11 and a real trooper, she is the one looking for a
Wintec 2000 to buy, she has saved her own money!) She is the Kid that
thanks you for sponsoring her and her horse, even in the downpour she is
chipper. Lucky grandparents.

I went to the Whiskeytown Chaser ride yesterday. The weather forecast was
for rain, but I have never ridden in rain like that! Anyway, needless to
say I have blankets, pads, boots, EVERYTHING drying out. My saddle got
completely drenched. I am letting it dry in the house, and have the olive
oil ready. I really love my saddle. Any suggestions? Thanks, you can
mail
me privately Dannan
