I'm fortunate to know someone who does leather work and was willing 
to make collars for my dogs and horses.  The collars were made to my 
specs and she even stamped my phone number in them.  I just pulled 
the buckles and rings from old halters and had her reuse them.  They 
work great and it's peace of mind knowing if my horses should get 
loose, or if we should somehow part ways, someone will at least have 
a way to get a hold of the horse and  a phone number to call when 
they do .

I'm sure someone who repairs tack or does leather work could easily 
make them.  Or if anyone's interested I can pass along contact 
information for the woman who made mine.
