Sure clip, then Rascal won't be the only horse that gets laughted at this 
spring : (Not to mention we bodyclipped then went to Hungry buzzard where it 
dropped into low 40's and only 50ish last fall)Sewat was not a problem(glad 
we had our rump rugs though).
  As to your talk, the magic words  "that you dont' have to ride evry day 
for hours and hours to do this. And that you  overtrained and horse and had 
it go lame, and that you could take a "sound horse out of the pasture and 
probably finish", but you can't finsih with a lame well conditioned 
horse".(I 'v e been figureing this out when I realised I did the same amount 
of conditioning for a 25 that 50's were doing and thinking it wasn't enough 
to begin. reallyy LSloooowwwD. (oh, well , now I have a better base to begin 
this year.:} (wasn't fair to keep these secreats from us newbies so long).
I also loved the"why?" personality type, I laughed at myself as I eyed those 
exit doors that said not to use them and thought "why can't I use this 
door","what are they hiding back there anyway?"Some one saw  me eyeing the 
door as we waited for the crowd to file out and I said "just looking for new 
trails. . . . " Laurie and Rascal who has part boyclip from fall, necka nd 
chest ljust clipped and face really showing dull clipperblade marks, oh well 
his ears are neat now.Then again maybe I need to clip his back and loins. ..
