[RC] Horses and Husbands - Tamara Alice Taylor

Thank you all so much for your words of support, encouragement and advice. I had to laugh my butt off envisioning the Victoria Secret-clad 'roll in the hay' at my barn considering it is busy boarding stable that feeds only hay cubes. ha ha ha!

I really appreciate everyone opening up to me about their own personal experiences. It gives me hope to see that although it took some husbands 20+ years to 'see the light' that there is still a chance that someday my hubster may want to trail ride with me.

It sounds like once we have our own place with the horses grazing contentedly out the kitchen window he may learn to like them a little more. He wasn't a dog person til he moved in with my gang of three rowdies so there is hope.

After posting this thread I had a real heart to heart with him and he opened up to me that he is actually kind of scared of the big beasts. I had no idea that a big touch macho rugby player would be scared of my sucky baby horses but it sure explains a lot. I also think the suggestions of getting him to come camping and helping with the 'manly stuff' will help too.

Thanks again everyone. Now I'm off to browse the Victoria Secret catalogue for manure-stain repellant lingerie.

Tamara
