[RC] Worming for Tapes - Snodgrass, Bonnie

Just wanted to mention to all you horse folks how importent it is to worm
for tape worms. I just wormed my crew 2 days ago with a double dose of
Strongid for the tapes. The two mares have received this worming bi-annually
since I've had them. But I bought a young gelding in Nov who had been pretty
neglected up to now. This was probably his first worming for tapes. Sure
enough his manure was LOADED with dead tapes. His coat and general
appearence should now improve a lot. I've noticed in the past that a horse
loaded with tapes often has a coarse, dull coat in spite of regular wormings
with other products.

I know a lot of horses owners don't use this form of worming. Please
reconsider.
