[RC] WNV--for Truman - terre

Truman--The sooner you get a horse on treatment the more likely a positive
outcome. The longer you wait the start treatment the more sever the
encephalitis will become. If you wait for the blood test to come back it
might be too late. So if you expect your horse might have it, don't
screw around - call your vet ASAP. On my second case I knew the symptoms
well enough and knew the treatment protocol so I started treatment then
called the vet since it was 10:00 PM and there was no reason for the vet
to come out that night. I was right.


What IS the treatment protocol??
