The only problem with a livestock guard dog  is that they are bred to bark to let coyotes etc; that they are there and are on the job and they are bred to chase coyotes, fox, etc so they don't make you to popular if you have close neighbors . I raise sheep so own a Great Pyrnees and two Akbash guards .I love them to death but they are not for a small place .
