Unreinforced Urethane shoes work fine on horses with standard feet, and very
good horn.  I did not find that they had enough abrasion resistance for my
training methods.  They would also not work at all on Ranger, who
unfortunately has weak horn.

The plus side is that they are very secure on paved roads.  Almost like your
horse is wearing tennis shoes.
