[RC] Arab inspections - CMNewell

Hell will freeze solid before I'll subject my stock to inspection and approval.
The Syrian Bedouin consider them to be asil and that's good enough for me.

If you want breeding stock "inspected", fine, go right ahead and give a good critical look before you breed.
There's absolutely no need to put that into "law", though.

As far as the breeds that do do inspections, for the vast majority, there is not a closed studbook, and they are breeding for one type. Period. The purebred Arab has a far wider variety of types which are all distinctly Arabian. Some appeal to one person, some to another. Why should I need someone else's opinion on the stock *I* have selected as meeting *my* standards in order to register them?

Fortunately, I am sure that any convention of Arabian breeders which assembled for the purpose of forging such rules would be shut down by riot police before such rules could be voted on.
