[RC] bowed tendon... int he rider, not the horse - A. PerezSorry if this is a bit off-topic, but it seems like there ismore experience with bowed tendons here than anyplace else I can think of. In the last year I have been waking up with very tight, contracted achilles tendons. Walking for the first half-hour or so out of bed is painful, gradually loosens up with time. After a few months of this myy tendons are visibly swollen - just like a horse with bowed tendons. I had done nothing to strain them and could not account for it. My doc it is 'tendonitis' (well duh) and said to wear low heels to avoid stretching the tendons and that it should improve in a few days. Well, as long as I wear heels it is OK, but any time I walk bare foot or wear flats, it flares up again. I still don;t understand why my tendons contract in my sleep when there has been no excessive stress to them. Now the 'bows' seem to be permanent. Any ideas? I'm not crazy about wearing heels! ________________________________________________ Get your own "800" number Voicemail, fax, email, and a lot more http://www.ureach.com/reg/tag =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
