Re: [RC] Dressage saddles for endurance - Maureen A. Fager

Lysanne said "I ride in a Wintec endurance model...I do have trouble posting sometimes...harder to get up it seems...I am sitting more in a chair position in the Endurance model. And I did get a sore back after my first 25"

If you are speaking of a Wintuck Endurance Pro saddle, I owned one of those and found that they do put the rider in a chair position, posting is more difficult and back pain is common (and for some gals, crotch pain is also.)

A dressage saddle puts one over their feet so posting should be easier. I now have a Free & Easy endruance saddle , which also puts me right over my feet and I find the positon is quite balanced and really like it.

A friend of mine just bought an Wintuck Jessica Dressage saddle with Cair panels and really likes it. She bought it for her dressage lessons/riding though, for distance she uses's a Big Horn.

Try to do a test ride in a dressage saddle if you can, you should be able to tell the difference with your feet below you. Good luck!!
