I learned from the sages here on ridecamp about "Loves" underwear(briefs) from Walmart or other stores. Cheap, comfortable, been riding in them all summer and winter, NO seam in crotch area, duh,da.Only on sides and it doesn't bother me. Not hot in summer, stretchy. (much cheaper than the ones"horse catalogs" sell for 20-30$ YOu get 3 pack for about 5.00$.
I now wear tights,(lycra are the most comfortable for me, with coolmax liners)I didn't believe they were more comfortable than my cotton breeches, till I got some.In summer. I did wear some the other day with my nylon longunderwear on a mild day (47).But I usually wear stretch polar fleec tights I make in winter with knee patches from a suitablility pattern for riding tights and sweatpants.I make vest to match. (heck, endurance chic(shiek, get it?)LOL :)
I had terrible leg rub problems, before that with any kind of breeches I had. But once I switched to tights (with riding knee socks)under and my half chaps) no more rubs. It was those closures and rubber bands on the breeches that got me. FWIW Laurie,& Rascal

What is the best sort of undies to use for endurance riding? *keep chuckles to self* I've heard every thing from thongs to boxer briefs. -ya for a girl- I've seen special riding panties and bra's sold in tack stores. So what's best?? Also what sort of pants do you wear? I'm thinking of ditching the briefs for tights and sweat pants for my first ride.
