Re: [RC] RE:[RC] Quality of Life (legislating and regulating) - Barbara McCrary
Now you've started something! Some misguided soul turned wild pigs loose in
our area in 1983. They proliferated wildly until they were rototilling all
the pastures, lawns and gardens in the county. They were found on college
campuses, state parks and goodness knows where else. It's taken many years,
but the numbers have been reduced significantly, and the damage has
diminished noticeably. As for turkeys, there were a few around here for
awhile, but I suspect our resident bobcats dispatched them. Haven't seen
one for months. The DFG also tried planting chukkars many years ago, but
all that was left was the smile on the bobcat's face.
