Endurance News

I am a Newbie from Australia and have, only a couple of hours ago, asked
for help on training a horse in limited time. During my lunch break at
work I have had a chance to catch up on a few postings- particularly the
one about spending time at the computer and not in the saddle.

I have read Maggie's article as posted and do not really take offence -
indeed I thought it was a bit toungue in cheek!

Anyway - I for one an not worried about the comments, even though I am a
noboddy. I ride as much as I can considering that I work 5 days per week,
have a 2 year old and a 7 year old and a husband who often is not home from
work until after dark. I get up at 4.45am to ride my horse before being
back and having her cooled down in time to be back inside and showered by
7.00am to get the family ready for the day. I don't feel that I could be
more dedicated to my family or my horses but I do envy the people who can
ride when they want for as long as they want!

I will still offer comments on Ridecamp if I feel like it and think it is
of value and I would love to also receive a magazine full of endurance
riding info! (Have not yet discovered on in Australia).

So - for the record - sitting down reading a mag or reading on the computer
- I don't see much difference - unless you read whilst training your horse!
