Cindy - I think that it is not the time that a person is at ridecamp that
is the problem.  The time
when you are at risk is when you are out training alone.   There have
been a couple of times 
when a female riding companion was uneasy because of others in a WMA that
posed a threat.  It
helped that she was not alone.   I suspect that you do not go to all
parts of Baltimore, unescorted, 
at all times of the day.

There is a three hour "Refuse to be a Victim" seminar that I urge women
that I care about to
attend.  It is not about guns.  It is about how not to set yourself up
for trouble, how the criminal
mind thinks, home security, car security,  physical security, and all
protection
