I am one of many who I expect will respond to this one. One of my horses, Ben
Amil is pure Egyptian - a Nazeer grandson - and is very level-headed. He
started out as a youngster on the track. He has plenty of go and has done
well in 50 mile rides. Despite this, he is also the Pony Club mount for my
10-year old daughter in combined training. That is because he is the calmest,
safest, most predictable horse that I could want for her. That doesn't sound
anything like the description your "expert" has of Egyptians does it???

Generalities such as this raise a red flag to me and are viewed skeptically.
Many people have so much "invested" in one line or another that they have very
bad tunnel-vision and are unwilling to accept that there are both good and bad
individuals within every line, including their own.
