This was just too hard to resist.

That's like saying "all redheads are bad tempered." Each horse is an
individual and should be evaluated as such.

Personally, I own a 6 yr old black egyptian stallion. He comes from the old
Henry Babson line. His sire is one of the five horses used in filming "The
Adventures of the Black Stallion." He is as intelligent as he is gorgeous.
I've had 9 different horses in the past including different breeds. He is far
superior to any of them in intelligence, beauty and ability.

He is curerntly stabled in a public stable that is virtually land locked. (Too
many golf courses and condos). In order to get to the trails I need to ride
through a Sam's Club parking lot, a Kmart lot, wait at the traffic light and
then cross four lanes of traffic. THEN....ride across a 1/4 mile long concrete
bridge beside those four lanes of traffic, on a sidewalk with a railing that
reaches to his elbow. If he spooked and jumped off the bridge, it would be at
least 80 feet down to the wash below. While crossing the bridge we have been
passed by semi trucks, busses and honking cars.
We tried this one week after I had purchased him. Clearly, I may be lacking in
common sense, but my stallion isn't. He didn't bat an eyelash, just kept
walking across the bridge. As he has continued to do every time I ask him.

Don't let anyone "talk" you out of your dream.

If you want a black one, let me know. I know where they "keep em." <s>
