A friend of mine and I own a mare of the Al-Marah Radames line, her
name is Fancy Chime, she is by Shalimar Jordie out of an Al-Marah Silvan
Sheik daughter, Al-Marah Silvan Sheik was sired by Al-Marah Radames. She is

does make wonderful athletes, Al-Marah Silvan Sheik is the sire of the current
U.S. Arabian National Champion Jumper. However ... see below.

Al-Marah Radames was not an Egyptian Arabian, he was Crabbet! His
sire was Indraff by *Raffles out of Indaia, and his mother was Gutne, whose
immediate ancestry I don't have however even if she is of Egyptian breeding
hers would be Old Egyptian many of whom were bred into Crabbet and other
CMK lines and are not considered to be the same as straight New Egyptian
breeding today since their characteristics are similar to Crabbets and other
early imports. Thus when one sees an Old Egyptian name in a pedigree of
early import CMK horses one uses the term CMK or Crabbet to describe the
offspring.
