[RC] weight division changes - sherman

Title: Message
I've actually a rider question me about my weight division. I don't know if she was politely questioning my LW claim or if she didn't know what I rode and was just curious. I do have slender legs and know how to hide my "not so slender anymore" middle, but I hope no one thought I was trying to cheat the system. Before my new Christmas saddle, I weighed in close to 175 the couple times it was necessary, Tevis and a couple others at the end of the ride.  I may now have to change as the saddle is much lighter than my previous one.

Other than FEI and Tevis I can't remember a ride that has weigh-ins, although there probably are some.  Once many years ago a rider demanded that we weigh a person who claimed to be a HW.  We weighed him and he was and that was the end of it.   I don't think it is a big problem.  Of course we allow someone who weighs 300 lbs to ride as a featherweight which I think is even dumber.
