When it gets really cold I try to look at the bright side of it all.  This cold 
weather with no snow cover will really diminish the amount of bugs and ticks we 
will have to deal with next year.  When it gets really cold there is no mud.  
The horses get really clean. The small amount of snow squeeks and you can hear 
where the horses are in the pasture.  The best part is the frost on their 
wiskers.
