Bare weight on my trailer:  3500 lbs of steel.  Add rubber mats, spare
tire, battery, water, saddles/tack, feed/hay, approx. 1800 lbs of live
weight - I'm overloading my 1/2 ton truck's specs.  I don't have to
weigh it to know it.  Water weighs a lot!

But most of us are clueless as to how quick we add on weight with all the
stuff we pack in our rigs, and can quickly be "over weight"
