RE: [RC] white stockings - fhall

Wouldn’t stop me, My paint mare w/ four white legs and NSH with 3 white feet live in Missouri mud half the year, neither have ever had scratches. Two of their pasture mates, a chestnut TWH w/no white on his legs had the worst case I have ever see, looked like he had gotten cables wrapped around the backs of his fetlocks on both back legs, and a bay Arab with 2 white socks had it on all four legs.

We do wash all legs with antibacterial scrub after rides and when they are brought into feed, still some get it and some don’t, haven’t seen it in white legs more than dark though. Not in our herd anyway.

Subject: [RC] white stockings

Just a little survey:  How many people would consider white stockings on a horse a reason not to buy it for fear of scratches.
