I agree with Libby-yogurt seems to help the electrolytes not burn their tummy as much. As far as how much, I think it depends horse to horse. You learn after competing with each individual horse what each horse needs. Some horses need dosing the night before, some horses do better with half doses more frequently, some horses do better with one type over another etc.
