The course is mostly mowed grass and has gotten soggy and muddy from the rain. Penny and Alexandra withdrew, the course 'too muddy for safety' and Alexandra was becoming hypothermic. The Japanese rider that was hurt yesterday was hospitalized, will be ok.

All 100 mile riders now in from loop 1. Leaders running at 12mph.  (Valerie, Danielle, Farzad 1,2,3)

The next loop for 100's is 39.8km

The 120km is being led by Shk Majid Al Maktoum, 18.6km/hr, and followed by Brook Sample 15.4 km/hr (about 10mph)

The ground is soggy, the tents are soggy, it 'feels like water is coming up from the ground' as well as out of the sky.

It's suppose to clear for the rest of the day
