The Courier-Journal • October 14, 2009

  • LEXINGTON, Ky. - Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who had been expected to be the most famous competitor in Wednesday’s Kentucky Cup Endurance test event for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, has been a late scratch, event officials said.

No explanation was immediately available. Sheik Mohammed’s son, Sheik Majid, still is expected to compete for the United Arab Emirates.
