[RC] removing panels from an orthoflex - Alice Yovich

I have an OF saddle I have been using all season with good results.  However, as my chiropractor and numerous other competitors predicted, its usefulness is coming to an end. I;m starting to see where the panels have caused some atrophy to his muscles behind the shoulder.  He has never been sore in the saddle. The sweat marks have always been great.  But I don’t want to cause harm to his back.

Len Brown has recommended sending his saddle back to him and he will remove the panels to use with a corrector pad, which I already own. However, he wants $350 for the removal. It seems like it ought to be relatively simple to remove the panels and I wondered if anyone has done it and if you could walk me through it. I really like my saddle. It’s comfortable, but I’m also wondering if it’s time to get back on the great search again.
