Maryben - wonder what your mustang has in his genetic makeup for that kind of bone supporting a 14.1 hand body. My Arabian stallion (a Ben Nasrif son) has 8.5" cannons under a 14.3 hand body. And *big* feet! But that runs in the family - Ben Nasrif had big cannons (8.25 I believe) and was built solid. He had no trouble carrying Paul, 225 lbs plus saddle.
