[RC] April and Bravery - Bruce Weary DC

So that I am not misinterpreted in my comments regarding April's story, my view is one of relief on behalf of her horse.
This type of inadvertent overriding is fairly commonplace in our sport, at all levels and venues. Rarely do we get to see someone
publicly take responsibility, and admonish themselves for their mistakes, with a vow to do better in the future. Many of us have wanted
to scold others for such overriding, but never get a chance to. I have been called a lot of things, but never "syrupy." :))

April was brave, I think, in telling her story publicly. What's even braver, though, IMO, is to offer lengthy and detailed
opinion, and then admit: "And for the record, I am one of those people who "did not attend" the ride and "do not know April and have never even met her".

That takes huevos. More than I have, anyway. Bruce Weary
