[RC] Tevis/Thumps - sherman

Title: Message
My horse did thump once, first ride of the year and HOT. He didn't drink "well" overnight, but drank great all along the trail and had quick recoveries all day long, then at the end, he thumped. I under electrolyted him that day on purpose, because he'd never had electrolytes before (we hadn't had a warm day since I owned him) and don't recall if I gave him a dose when the vet pointed out that he was thumping. He showed no signs of dehydration or any other metabolic trouble. It was so slight, I couldn't detect it even when the vet showed me. I now give small doses of electrolytes every time he drinks and have not had a repeat episode.
