[RC] hoof boots - Kathleen A. Crothers

I have used regular easyboots for years and current use them over my horse's
shoes in front since he has flat soles on his front hooves. I lost a shoe on a
muddy ride and used an easyboot epic over the hoof. I was afraid that it would
rub him since it was wet and muddy but I didn't have any rubs after the ride.
If I don't have boots on for the rides with good footing I carry an epic for a
spare otherwise I carry and extra easyboot but over shoes he hardly ever loses
one if the hardware doesn't fail.

Does anyone know what tread is the best for traction on trails that are part
muddy and part rocky? I like the hardware of the regular easyboot to go over
shoes but wish they had the tread of the gloves. I can get the bares to work
but don't know if the traction would be as good as the regular easyboots. Does
anyone know what boot has the best traction that you can use over shoes?

Thanks, Happy Trails, Kathy
