[RC] horse-boots rubbing on heel bulbs - taras25@xxxxxxxx

Hi all,
Thought maybe someone would have an idea of what to use. My horses are
barefoot and I ride with the Cavallo Boots (Simple Boots). I have tried the
"socks" that are sold for these boots but they only last 2 rides maybe.
I am thinking of trying " Monkey Butt" powder on the heels before applying the
boots? Or maybe " Eventer's Grease" ? What do you all think? Would these harm
instead of work? I cannot put metal shoes on due to my gelding having more
under-run heels and he pulls shoes like no other horse. ( believe me have gone
through like 8 farriers and different methods)barefoot is the only way for this
horse. I even tried to make my own socks out of expensive hiking socks and such
but they just don't last!
Thanks for your reply's-
Tara
