[RC] Decisions, Decisions! Help! - Marlene Moss - Floyd ReidMarlene, all I would consider is telling you MY experience.I bought an eight year old gelding who had been unused in pasture for two years. I was riding him twice weekly and had 12 rides on him. My mentor, a very knowledgeable and competent, multiple Tevis finisher said, "He is ready, I'm entered in a 50-mile this weekend, stay with me, we'll finish and we won't hurt your horse." We finished in 9 hours 35 minutes, on a very calm, relaxed and unstressed ride. Best Wishes!! Be Sensible.
