I got into this late as I don't read Ride Camp every day.  If this has not been 
posted before.  A 6 inch length of hose.  Why, in case you horse gets bitten on 
the nose by a rattle snake as the nose could close but with the hose up inside 
breathing would still be possible.   Good to have in you ER kit in the barn. 
Happened to an acquaintance.  Horse died.
