I'm planning on taking my young horse Via on his first 50 mile ride at
Ft. Meade in South Dakota July 25th.  I would like someone to ride my
seasoned horse Sanshra along with me.  Via and I completed a 30-mile LD
ride at Shamrock this weekend, and he did very well.  Sanshra and I
finished one of the 55's at Shamrock in 7th place.

Sanshra is a small horse, 14.1 hands and about 800 pounds, with over 900
miles completed including the Big Horn 100.  He will need a rider with
some distance riding experience.

Terms:  the rider must ride with me throughout the ride.  I will pay
half the entry fee and the rider will pay the other half.  The rider can
keep any awards won at the ride.

I prefer a Junior rider who I will sponsor.  For a Junior rider I will
pay the full entry fee, and the Junior can keep any awards won at the
ride.  The Junior will need to have completed either one 50-mile or
longer ride, or a couple of LD rides.

If I should get pulled from the ride, Sanshra's rider can continue on to
finish.

My wife Kat will be crewing for us, although any additional crew people
would be welcome.

Please e-mail me at jlong@xxxxxxxxxxxxx if you're interested.
