[RC] Treating Trailer Floors - Valerie Nicoson

Got a 3-horse slant BP trailer and have had it for about 2 years now.? Decided to go about and give it a good cleaning.? Rubber mats are out and pressure washed, trailer has been pressured washed in and out as well.? Don't know when the boards were last treated but felt now would be as good a time as any.? Trailer floor boards are nearly dry now.

First, what particular products are good to use on the boards?? Please provide specific product names and such for our consideration.? Hubby thinks just a standard waterseal (ie like Thompson's waterseal) would be sufficient.? A friend suggested used motor oil.? Looking for any other ideas out there.

Secondly, how do I go about treating the wood?? Brush it on with an old brush, broom?? How about inbetween the boards -- let it seep through?? How about underneath the boards (ie under the trailer)??

Thanks for any ideas.? It has been finally dry enough to thoroughly clean and treat the trailer floors.
