Re: [RC] cougars and wildlife - Nancy Sturm

We farmed around a killdeer nest next one summer. She certainly wasn't moving for us. I think one of the nicest thing about riding in the mountains is watching the birds and animals. We occassionally get to see a newborn fawn, tiny as a kitten. One rather determined doe charged the horses last week. We let her get away with it and switched to another trail. After all, we were out riding. She was protecting her family.
