[RC] Public trails fees in CA and a bit of trivia about State Workers. - Sheila_Larsen

In many, if not all, State Parks one pays a fee. However, in my part of
the world, Auburn, we have two State Recreation Areas, Auburn and Folsom.
When Auburn SRA wanted to install a fee based systems everyone and their
brother protested any kind of fee. In Folsom at some of the staging area I
believe the fee is on an "honor system" and I bet most horse people don't
pay the parking fee. At least I know many who don't. I wouldn't mind
paying a fee if it was a yearly fee and the money went to the area where
the fee was collected. However, at this point I wouldn't mind paying a fee
as along as it went to State Parks period. Obviously, the state is in a
world of trouble.

CA state worker trivia: California has the fewest number of state workers
per capita than another other state except Illinois..

Thanks,
Sheila
